TRAINA TEXTILES IS THE CULMINATION OF 3 GENERATIONS OF FAMILY EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE APPAREL FABRIC INDUSTRY

Traina Textiles established in 2005 is a consulting and services business providing fabric and apparel solutions for the UK retail fashion industry.

In a large and challenging market Traina represent some of the globes most inventive textile mills and garment companies in  delivering strategic and tangible growth opportunity in the UK.

Traina’s founding principles are to provide clients with a strategic, creative and inspirational partner. Its depth of experience is grounded by company director and owner Michael Traina.

Michael has 25 years experience in the industry and is the 3rd generation in his family to be involved in textiles. His great grandfather owned a dying and printing mill in Patterson New Jersey and his late grandfather Harry Turpan was co owner in one of worlds largest Jacquard Mills Mastercraft Fabrics based in Spindale North Carolina.

Michael’s interest began as as a young man when he did work experience in the cutting rooms. He later went on to work in sales with De Marco California Fabrics in New York, selling the latest print and Jacquard trends to the fashion manufactures. In 1995 he moved to the UK where he had the opportunity to pursue his passion for casual wear and worked with mills such as SAIC, Velcorex, China Dye and Isko Denim.

We deliver fashion fabrics and apparel to the UK retail industry. Although every customer is unique in their requirements, Traina work within a defined and proven framework. This is made up of 5 discrete elements starting with understanding your requirements and then formulating the appropriate strategy and planning. Once this is defined we go on to develop the creative proposition, implement the plan and finally measure its effectiveness.
